:here magazine put out a compilation of local music in july 2001 featuring my track "bitch in heat". here's what they said in the liner notes:

"when the june 2001 issue said jasmine breaks was 'quite simply one of the best cds' it wasn't hyperbole. for the past 5 months we've been fighting in the :here office for ownership of the demo and been evangelistic about playing it to anyone who'll listen.

"our love of this music has made it more all the more pertinent by not having a clue who jasmine breaks actually is. talking only by e-mail and refusing to do interview or appear at the photo shoot (she asked for a stand-in), JB appears determined to maintain the air of mystery about the personality behind the music and promises that she will not perform live.

"bitch in heat: growling squelching bass, ominous chimes, frazzled samples and huge huge drums. it's hardly been off the stereo since it arrived, and we know you'll all be playing it again & again. just wish we knew who was behind it..."
